This year I decided to make my own Halloween mask for my Plague Doctor costume, partially because I've never done it before but mostly because I couldn't find the right mask XD.

It's made from cheesecloth (a gauzy sort of fabric) soaked in plaster with a flexible wire mesh skeleton for the 'nose.'

The face part of the mask was made by taking a cheap clear plastic Halloween mask and covering it in plastic wrap, then applying the wet plaster strips over it. The plastic wrap makes it so that it won't stick to the mask, because I wanted to keep the plaster mask open to allow more breathing room. Also, even though there are no nostril or mouth holes, the mask is comfortably open for air and doesn't fog up the goggles, something which most store-bought masks have a bad habit of doing.

My V mask fogs up my glasses something horrible. And why is everyone so obsessed with the plague doctors all of the sudden? Rich has been going on and on about them for days! How can a game that doesn't star a hottie be so wonderful? *pouts*
